Students should report directly to their assigned classroom site for in-person instruction at their scheduled class time.

What to Bring on the First Day

Please bring the following items with you on the first day of class:

Completed Orientation Paperwork
Copy of Physical Exam
Respirator Clearance Form
Copy of Immunization Record
Notebook
Pen or Pencil
Copy of Medical Insurance Card
Copy of Car Insurance Card
Copy of Social Security Card

Important Technology Requirement

Students must create and use a personal Gmail account (not connected to their high school) for program communication and coursework.

Example: yourname@gmail.com

School-issued email accounts cannot be used for this program.

Effingham - HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital

Students will meet their teachers, Christy Shoemaker, RN, and Jessi Tegeler, RN, outside in front of the main entrance (by the Gift Shop) at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.

🚪 Do not enter the hospital unless it is raining.
☔ If it is raining, you may enter the hospital lobby.

Your teachers will meet you outside, show you where to park, and walk you to the classroom!

Class Times:

Section 1: 7:30 AM – 9:15 AM
Section 2: 9:55 AM – 11:40 AM
Section 3: 1:15 PM – 3:00 PM

Paris - Horizon Health

Mrs. Cline

Students will meet their instructor, Carol Cline, RN, at the loading dock door near the Emergency Room.

🚗 Parking:
Students should park in the lot located on the Emergency Room side of the hospital. Please park only in white-lined spaces or in the gravel lot.

🚪 Entry:
Enter through the door at the end of the loading dock, which leads into the lower level of the hospital (Emergency Room side).

Section 2: 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Section 3: 1:15 PM – 3:00 PM

Mrs. Bartimus

Mattoon - Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center

Students will meet their teacher, Aleah Clatfelter, RN, and Grace Bartimus, RN, BSN outside the new Education Center – Entrance C, located at the back of the hospital.

🚗 Parking:
Please park in the large parking lot near the back of the hospital and away from the building.

👩‍⚕️ Look for your teachers in red scrubs — they will be there to greet you and guide you to the classroom!
