High School Career Academy (HSCA)

The HSCA was created to assist schools is offering certain training level programs to educate students in career areas where community employers need trained employees.  FY 2016 is the first year of offering Construction Occupations, Automotive Technology, and Manufacturing on the main campus of Lake Land College in Mattoon.  The programs are open to area high school juniors and seniors as one or two-year programs.  Students register through their high school guidance counselor.

Programs available depending on enrollment requests: Building Construction Technology, Automotive Technology, Information Technology, and Industrial Maintenance/Mechanical-Electrical Technology.

Programs for FY 2020 include:  Automotive Technology with Welding and Design/Drafting
